Exe HC to benefit from £20million promotion pot.

Dream on!  Hockey cannot compete with football and the financial rewards for achieving promotion to the Premier League.  As a result, your club committee is in desperate need of a Fundraising Co-ordinator to pull together all types of fund-raising initiatives whether in conjunction with social events, seeking sponsorship or writing grant applications. 

You won't be alone, you will be supported by the club committee and work alongside our social co-ordinators.  If this isn't a role for you, do you have a parent or relative who may be willing to help us.  If interested please contact Jane Bailey, our Chairperson, exehockeychair@gmail.com for further information.

We are also seeking a Coaching Co-ordinator - preferably someone with a coaching qualification, who can deal with any coaching communication which comes out from either England Hockey or Devon Hockey (usually just forwarding these emails to our club coaches) and also ensure that we have coaches in place for all our training sessions.  Again, please contact Jane if interested.

A few other bits of news, hot on our success of being named the Exeter Sports Foundation Devon Sports Club of the Year 2016:

1. Active Devon Event on Exeter Quay on Sunday 10th July - volunteers needed to help run the Exe HC activity.  Contact Jane (as above) if you can help.

2. Pre-season training starts on Tuesday 2nd August 7-8.30 pm at St Peter's School, Exeter - for all senior section players.

3. Junior Coaching Days for 4-15 year olds on 2nd, 3rd, 24th & 25th August from 10am - 3pm at St Peter's, Exeter. Contact Jill Dupain if you can help on any of the days.

4. Exeter City Centre Olympics Festival on Saturday 6th August - volunteers needed to help man the Exe HC activity.  Contact Jane if you can spare a few hours to help.

5. HockeyFest 2016 - 30 August 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm incorporating Back to Hockey.  This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to pick up a hockey stick again! (It doesn't matter how long since you've picked up a stick!)    Details to follow!

6.   Exe Annual Tournament - Saturday 3rd September.  Our annual tournament with invited clubs - help required on the day.  Contact Jenny if you can spare a few hours to help or could donate some home made cakes or a raffle prize exehcfixtures@gmail.com

7.  Junior Training Nights start Tuesday 6th & Wednesday 7th September 6.00pm - 7.00pm. Check the junior pages for further information.

8.  Keep looking at the website for details of a family social (whole club - juniors and seniors) being organised for the end of September.  Don't forget to log into the Member's Area for bits of news which won't be publicised in the public part of the website.
