Ladies 5th XI Vs Sidmouth & Ottery 4s

Exe arrived at Sidmouth in mild but very wet conditions for what was their first league game of the season.  Exe started the game sharp and caught S&O off guard with some great passages of play. These opportunities were derservedly rewarded with goals with Exe jumping on every loose ball in the circle. S&O conceded a penalty stroke but a good save from the keeper meant Exe weren't able to convert the opportunity into a goal. Some very slick play left Exe 2-0 up at half time.

Both teams were fired up for the second half with S&O readying their big hitters for a multitude of short corners. Exe defended these well and an exciting back and forth of goals from open play left the score at 5-4 to Exe on the final whistle, just as the sun came out!

A fantastic team effort and some really fantastic play, well done ladies!
