Match Report | Exe 3's travelled across the boarder to Somerset this weekend for the fourth game of the season against Chard. Albeit being blinded by the sun (which has been reported missing for many weeks) Exe 3's immediately put pressure on Chard's defensive line-up and were quickly awarded their first short-corner of the game. Nicole Van Oosterom stepped up for the strike and scored a fantastic goal in the bottom right corner. This shortly followed by another successful short corner form an excellently executed dog leg between Sian Williams, Izzy Olney and the final touch by Nicole. Nicole hadn't finished there and scored a 3rd goal through eliminating two players and belting the ball in the net. Exe 3's stepped up again in the 2nd half scoring a further two goals; from Izzy Olney, whom made an impossible scoring angle, possible, and Ella Evernden. MOM was rewarded to our two diamond players; Ella and Nicole who throughout the game distributed the ball fantastically around the pitch and played a pivotal role as the "pivotters". Another weekend of fantastic team effort with every player contributing towards the score-line. |
