It was a strong start for Exe 2s against Winscombe 1s from the off we were ready for battle putting pressure on. Our defensive line of Tori, Karen, Kelly, Rosie and Payno was strong and they all worked really hard clearing the ball up to the forwards in the first half Winscombe nearly got in our D. Alice laid off some beautiful balls which were picked up so well by Charlie and Lou up front with Lous scoring the second goal. Helen Tully managed to score a Massive 3 goals to be star of the show! The work rate from Katie Briggs in the middle did not go unnoticed making her man of the match. With a late surge from Winscombe they got one back despite a Fantasia first save from Tori in goal. The umpires had a brilliant game and Winscombe are definitely going to be one to watch on the return leg. It ended 4-1 to Exe.
