Match Report | Man of the Match: Hope Kent (GK) Exe Ladies 1st Team began this season’s National League campaign with a trip to Bath Buccs this Saturday. Both teams were hoping for a strong start in the newly formed Conference West and the first quarter saw a fast start from both teams with plenty of action in midfield but few shots on goal. The game remained tight and, at times, frenetic throughout the second and third quarters with chances and short corners at both ends. The final quarter brought the most promising passages of play for both teams but Exe’s Hope Kent made some superb saves in goal to deny Bath any score. Exe had some excellent chances to take the lead but were also kept out by some brave defending from Bath and the match ended 0-0. Exe will hope for a win next week as they play Cheltenham at home on Saturday. |
