Match Report | This game was rearranged due to frozen pitch a few weeks ago. Skipper's Jojo Bannister's first game back since early January was well timed as the team were buoyed by her intensity to play well. With Dartmouth as current league leaders, Exe knew they had to do the basics well and the game was end to end from start to finish. Exe keeper Sally Turner denied Dartmouth's one on one challenges and the Exe central defence lead Becky Goodwill's composure with Sweeper Nay Oxborough kept the team from conceding further penetration into the circle. Persistent Dart took the lead and Exe unfazed equalised before half time. 1-1 was the score and Exe continued their mission to beat the lead winners having several opportunities with the team working well together for the whole of the match. The game ended on a knife edge with Exe bring awarded a penalty corner just before the final whistle. Dart did well to keep their composure denying Exe the equaliser they really worked hard for. Final score 2-1 to Dartmouth who said it was one of the best games they had played this season - may be one they've had to work hard for having seen their high scoring past results!
