Ladies 5th XI Vs Ashmoor 2

Heavy rain accompanied Exe 5s on their visit to Totnes to face Ashmoor 2s, but only drizzle persisted for the duration of the match. 

Exe played the first half a man down, but were up for the challenge as play fluctuated from end to end.  Ashmoor probably took initial honours for possession, but against the run of play Jess Clinton fired one in from top-D for Alice Gillick to touch home. 

Half time: 0-1

Ashmoor regrouped with a vengeance at the restart. Exe were back to full strength, but while Ashmoor repeatedly fired wide, Exe were unable to break a well organised press at the hit out. Inevitably it was a smart interception at one of these which eventually brought the equaliser.
