Match Report | With Falmouth comfortably top of the league, Exe 3s made the journey knowing it would be a tough match. They didn't let this knock their confidence and went into the first half with some strong passing and even a few chances on goal. An excellent play, skilfully passed around by Falmouth, led to the score of 1-0 at half time to them. Exe went into the second half feeling positive, with some excellent defending from joint man of the match Emma Renshaw. Falmouth upped the intensity and showed why they were top of the league with some strong teamwork, managing to find holes in the defence scoring a further three goals making the score 4-0. However, Exe didn't let their heads go down and continued fighting, winning a short corner near the end of the game. After a strong strike from Evie Jones, Megan Langley who shared man of the match looked for the rebound and managed to score a well-fought goal making the final score 4-1. |
