Exe Ladies 1s travelled to Lydney this weekend hoping to gain the vital 3 points that would bring them one step closer to promotion in West Prmeier 1. The first half saw chances for both sides but it was Lydney that managed to execute a well-worked move which took them to half time 1-0 up. Exe came out in the second half full of energy and positivity though and dominated the game, scoring twice in close succession with goals from Emily Mitchem and Lorel Wallis to take them to a 2-1 lead. They then followed this up with an excellent short corner strike from Emma Ross to take the game to 3-1. Lydney kept fighting though and managed to score a good deflection in the last two minutes of the to take the score to 3-2.
