Match Report | The day and game might have started with a light drizzle but Exe did not let this dampen their game. Exe looked in control throughout this game and were constantly attacking the Torbay D. Some great linking passes through mid-field and in the first half some lovely balls across the D from Sara Williams. Abi Wong stood out throughout the game with her penatrating runs down the right. She understandably got MOM for her endless efforts driving forward and returning to secure Exe defence. Exe had there first short corner and first goal as Mia Hempsted cracked the ball into the back of the goal. Exe 2nd goal came shortly after Torbay had been awarded their own short corner. Exe quickly counter attacked worked the ball up the pitch, Carlie Karakusevic smashed the ball into the goal again from putting the Torbay goalie under pressure. Exe were firmly in control at half time with the score at 2-0 The 2nd half started off a little slower with Exe remaining in control. Torbay did get into our D a couple of times and had a few shots on goal, but these were quickly and comfortably dealt with by Sally Turner (Goalie) Exe 3rd and final goal came from great team work. Katie Voisey fed the ball into the D and Bryony Vandenderg made quick work of getting Exe4 their 3rd goal.
A great team effort taking Exe 4 back into 6th place in the league with a win 3-0.
