Exe travelled to long-time rivals Taunton Vale today with the aim of securing another 3 points in their promotion battle in West Premier 1. The first half was a close-fought battle with both sides creating chances but it took a break from midfield to open the scoring for Julie Allison on her 1st team debut. Taunton were undeterred however and kept up the pressure on Exe until half time. The second half saw Exe with a much greater share of the possession which was rewarded after 15 minutes with a goal from Emily Mitchem from close range. Exe were now in control and continued to add pressure, keeping the ball in the Taunton half. Despite a good performance from the Taunton goalkeeper, Lorel Wallis finished a fast break with another close range goal to take the score to 3-0. Exe now face Yate at home next week to fight for another 3 points.
