Exe ended the first half of the season in the same way that began: with optimism, a new line up, and another loss... After conceding s scrappy goal early on, Exe switched on and played some lovely transfers across defence. However, constant pressure from the Vale forwards and midfields led to an unlucky deflection into the goal, making the goal 2-0. Still, Exe showed real tenacity and grit; with Soraya capitalising on Lucy's dangerous runs into the D, to make it 2-1 at half time.

Exe came out determined in the second half, more confident on the ball and piling the pressure on Vale's defence. Sian smashed Exe's second goal.Exe knew they had to simply hang on for a well-earned draw. But it wasn't to be - with Exe conceding another two well worked goals to make it 4-2 at full time.
