Playing 2nd in the table and with it being the last game of the 1st half of the season- we were ready for a big game! Exe had a reasonable start but we found ourselves under some amount of pressure early on. A short corner resulted in Yeovil and Sherborne scoring to make it 1-0. Exe seemed to gather some pace towards the end of the first half and some great play from Hannah Owen and Karen Tinley saw the ball in Yeovil's half a considerable amount. Some more good skills from Charlie Cooper saw a goal goal go in, but was eventually disallowed.
1-0 at half time and the game was for the taking. Exe had many opportunities due to some strong passing up the pitch from Leoni Hilton and Hope Evans. Unfortunately, despite having 2 short
Corners, Exe were still unable to convert and the game finished 1-0
Player of the match went to Karen Tinley and the silly person of the Day Bryony Vandenberg.
