| Match Report | Exe 5ths made the trip down to Sidmouth to play Sidmouth and Ottery 3rd team. Exe started brightly and strung together some good passes and had a good proportion of the possession in the first ten minutes. S&O took a little longer to get I to their stride, and as the half progressed the game became an exciting high paced end to end struggle. The whistle came with the scoreline a fair 0-0. Half time: 0-0 The second half was peppered with short corners mainly for the home side. Exe defence held up fabulously and the ball never really looked likely to hit the back of the goal. Keeping up the high pace Exe pushed forward hard and were finally rewarded at around 45minutes with Rachel Morris tipping into an open goal - the shot coming in from just inside the D where Lynette Hawes found herself with plenty of time to pick out the goal hanger. More end to end play saw both sides with chances. Exe sealed the win with a minute to go... A lovely solo goal from a limping Lynette Hawes.
