Ladies 1st XI Vs Yate

Exe set the trend for the match, scoring after 30sec. A drive down the righ wing, resulted in Lorel W scoring her first goal of the game and putting Yate on the back foot straight away. Exe continued to dominate the game and within another 2 minutes, Lorel W scored again to put Exe 2-0 up. The third goal came in the 7th minute, when Emily Mitchem rounded off another flowing move by Exe. With Yate having very little of the ball, Exe continued to create many chances and a penalty corner resulted in Sarah P scoring the 4th of the match. Lorel then scored her hat trick goal, just before half time to give Exe a 5-0 lead.

Exe started the second half as they had finished the first, an interception on the half way line by Emily M led to her beating a number of defenders and scoring her 2nd of the game and Exe's 6th. Yate did manage a consulation goal, when a period of possession led to their only goal of the game. Determined not to finish the game on a negative note, Exe pushed forward again, and Emily M picked up her hat trick goal, to give Exe a 7-1 win, and remain top of the league.
