Ladies 4th XI Vs Teign 2nds

Exe 4's hosted Teign2s this week and we're eager to improve on last weeks score.

With some new players in defence and upfront it was exciting to see what this team had to offer. Despite having the bare 11, Exe started strongly with some great passing and movement across the pitch and some solid defending. However, a well organised Teign2 also started well. The first half was pretty even; Exe had a couple of short corners won by our attackers Cassie, Sara and Megan and Teign2 had plenty of chances, denied only by keeper Bridget and on one occasion the post.

The balance, however did swing in Teign2's favour when they scored 10 minutes from half time making the score 1-0.

Teign started the second half well gaining more of the possession over the half. Exe battled hard though in defence and midfield to deny them from gaining a second goal. Exe's best chance came from a well placed 16 hit from Gladdy finding forward Megan who dribbled the ball up the line before crossing the ball into the D. The ball found Cassie in front of the keeper who narrowly missed the goal.
