| Match Report | A beautiful day greeted Teign 3s visit to St Peter's on the final day of the season. Exe were missing any sort of regular goal keeper but since the captain was carrying an injury Erica paddd up on the promise that she wouldn't have much to do. For the duration of the first half Exe stuck to that promise and proved much the stronger team, with 9 players camping in the Teign half. Luck was not with them though, and goals were not forth coming. Half time: 0-0 Teign came out stronger in the second half, and there was a little more action at both ends. Eye's first goal finally came off Sara's stick after about 15mins. A second resulted from a rather scrappy short corner, finally put away by Lynette. Teign thought the had pulled one back when a shot from outside the circle found the back board, but the umpire signalled disappointment for them. Exe finished the game off shortly after wirh a nice goal from Sarah. Full time: 3-0 Exe finish the season on a high, well played girls. Player of the match: Tilly Spey |
