| Match Report | Exe 5s turned up in determined mood for a chilly lunchtime start at home to Sidmouth & Ottery 4s. Exe took the pushback and looked the stronger side early on. Sidmouth struggled to get the ball out of their half, and the pressure began to telll as Exe were awarded a couple of penalty corners midway through the half. Sarah just failed to connect with the first slipped wide of the post, but made sure with the second to put Exe one up. Exe continued to apply the pressure but it wasn't until just before half time that a flurry of goals came - Mia and Sara in quick succession put Exe 3 up before they were caught sleeping on the break by the end he Sidmouth captain who pulled one back from the top of the D. Half time: 3-1 Exe continued to look the more composed side into the second half. Using the full isthmus if the pitch there were some good balls into the right places and the Sidmouth defence had to work hard to keep the scores from coming. 10 minutes from time Mia took to ball on the left and looked up to find an open goal to restore Exe's 3 goal lead.
