Unusually for Exe 3s we started well, scoring a goal in the first few minutes from a pass in the D to the right post which was slotted in by Emma Hulme. Dart reacted well and put us under pressure for the rest of the first half. Some fantastic saves from Bridget Culver meant the score remained 1-0 at half time. Dart came out strong at the start of the second half but Exe won a short corner which was converted by Megan Langley. We finally had some breathing space and we lifted our game. The 3rd goal started by Izzy Olney in defence passing it up the field via Amanda Boswell and Roxy Lewis into the D for Bryony Vandenburg to lift over the 'keeper. Feeling confident, Dart's heads dropped a little and our final goal came from another short corner converted by Bryony for her second. Final result was 4-0 to the home team, securing our place at the top of the table. Man of the match was shared by Izzy Olney (on her 3s debut!) and Emma Hulme, but, again, it was a great team performance.
