Ladies 5th XI Vs Okehampton 2s

A cold sunny afternoon saw Exe 5 travelling to Okehampton. 
Okehampton clearly had the advantage in the opening minutes and Exe did well to hold them until they won their first short corner. A good strike from the left found the backboard. Exe then found some form,  and won their own short at the other end.  An attempted slip to Lynette on the post just missed all sticks on the way over the back line. . Encouraged,  Exe fought for another short and this time Jojo coming in from the injection was well placed wide of the left post to slip the ball behind the goal keeper. 
The rest of the half remained quite even,  until Exe conceded a further short corner late on which was clinically put away. 

Half time: 2-1

Exe started the second half more strongly and had more of the play. Yet another short corner was conceded by Okehampton,  and Exe went for the repeat slip in from the left post -  Jojo again well placed to meet the incoming ball. 
The only goal from open play came 10 minutes from the end,  Okehampton finding a player free on the top of the D.
