Exe started slowly, taking time to find our va va voom. We had a few chances that went wide, were saved etc but it didn't seem to be getting into the goal. Exe were awarded a penalty corner. This was nicely converted by Sian Williams from the top of the D! Straight strike, we were off. This was followed by a second scored by Lucy Brook from a pass into the D by Emma Hulme. 2-0 at half time. We had the upper hand but we still seemed to be not quite with it. The half time break served us well, finally Exe 3s were playing the hockey we know we are capable of. The third goal came from a textbook short corner routine, back to the injector, tap across the goal for Megan Langley to finish sweetly. The forth goal came from a run through from defence by Rebekah Goodwill, pass to Megan, strike on goal, saved by Torbay's tireless goal keeper but then tapped in from the rebound by Carly Karakusevic. Man of the match goes to Roxy Lewis for some superb play on the right mid/forward line, continually frustrating the opposition. Final score 4-0 to the home team.
