| Match Report | A chilly morning saw Exe 5ths taking on high flying Honiton Hornets. A very bright start from Exe saw lots of pressure but sadly no goals for Exe - the second week in a row with a lot of shots but a failure to find the back of the goal. The best chance went to Jojo who just failed to get her stick down on a shot which fizzed unexpectedly through the goalie as she waited on the back post. Half time : 0-0 The second half, in contrast, saw a flurry of goals. Honiton scored first after q0mins, but Exe pulled it back quickly with a lovely strike from Sara on the right edge of the D. Honiton tried to take the game away with two more goals, but Exe refused to give up. Pip pushed up from sweeper to the forward line and the additional pressure was rewarded with a goal from Rachel pipping in from the spot area. Well played Exe.
