Match Report |
The match started with even possession from both sides, with Swansea scoring after a successful attack down the left wing to make it 1-0 at half time. With both teams winning short corners in the second half, Exe's Anna-Mae scored a short corner deflection which was then followed by a Swansea short corner goal to bring the score to 2-1. Becky Fagg quickly responded to this with a second Exe goal after Emma Ross drew out the keeper, with a deflection from Emily Mitchell following a few minutes later to make it 3-2.
With the help of player of the match Gemma Barnett holding the middle, Exe maintained a positive attitude and used their determination to secure their first National League win this season.
