Today we had the lovely journey down to penzance with a team of 11. We started the game strongly. lucy brook scored our first goal within 10mins from a good lay off from heather edworthy. We suffered a set back when penzance broke through our defence to level the score to 1-1. Exe were not deterred by this and created many chances and put a lot of pressure on their goalie. Bridget culver retailated by driving up the middle with heather edworthy finishing it of. The half time score was 2-1. In the second half the defence did a lot of good switching and passing around the back which lead to a break and heather edworthy scoring another cracking goal into the corner. Penzance did not give up and pressed our defence hard which succeeded in a goal making it 3-2. Exe were having none of it and scored with a great team effort between heather edworthy, Megan Langley and hope Evans finishing the game with a 4-2 win!! Lucy brook got the man of the match.
