Exe 2s suffered their first loss of the season against a well drilled and fierce Plymouth Marjons. Experimenting with a new club formation, Exe started confidently with slick passing around the back four. However an unlucky passage of play saw Exe 2s conceed a goal just before half time. After a strategic analysis at half time, Exe came back rejuvenated and hard work in the midfield and running upfront meant Exe were rewarded with a hard earned goal, with an individual effort by Heather Edworthy. Both teams upped the tempo and a scrappy passage of play saw Plymouth winning a last minute short corner, scoring in the final seconds of play. Karen Tinley won a well deserved man of the match for her hard work in midfield.
