Exe started strongly dominating play and forcing early penalty corners. When Anna-Mae picked up a rebound from the keeper, she laid the ball off to Helen Bray, who placed a shot past the keeper to make it 1-0. A few minutes later Claire Whitworth picked up a ball with her back to goal, turned and hit the ball into the corner to put Exe 2-0 up. The third goal came from lovely interplay between Anna-Mae and Fi Moran, who finished off the move slotting the ball into the corner go 3-0 up. Another penalty corner resulted in another strike from Bray, and the ball managed to find its way into the net to put Exe 4-0 up at half time.
In the second half Bath came out to frustrate Exe and managed to do so, keeping many attacks out of the goal and ending the game 4-0.
