Exe 1sts travelled to Plymouth Marjons looking to continue their great start to the season. Both teams started well. Exe however, went down 1-0 to a well worked goal from Marjons. Second half Exe got back into the game, Helen Bray equalised from a short corner. Exe scored their second goal of the game when Emma White made a majestic run, resulting in a flick. Clare Whitworth stepped up and confidently put it pass the Marjon keeper. Exe's fitness and work ethic created the fourth goal of the game, this time Mel Vaggers getting on the scoresheet. A 68th minute goal from Marjons made the final score 3-2. Exe’s determination and strong performance resulted in a valuable three points on a hot day in Plymouth.
